The Golden Retriever is a medium to large size dog. It's head is broad with ears rather short and droopy. The front edge of the ear is well attached behind and just above the eye falling close to the cheek. The eyes have a friendly expression, medium sized with a dark fitting rim and also a intelligent expression on them color is dark brown. Nose is a brownish-black to black nose.

Have a dark pigmented flews droop naturally. Muzzle is powerful, yet gentle. Teeth are scissor bite.

The coat is a double coat. Has a soft, dense under coat and a thick straight or wavy outer coat in various shades of gold. They have a ruff around their neck. The neck is clean and muscled with loose-fitting skin.

They have cat-like feet (paws) which have hair that grows between their pads. Hind legs are well-muscled and covered in thick skin and densed hair. The feathering can be lighter in color at the legs, chest, belly and tail.
